Our Mission
Why We Build
Most software tries to do too much and ends up getting in the way. We'd rather build something focused and reliable — tools that do their job well and don't ask for more of your attention than they deserve.
The name douce is French for "sweet" or "gentle." It's a reminder to ourselves: the best software is the kind you barely notice because it just works — simple to use, respectful of your data, and solid under the hood.

Earn Trust, Don't Assume It
We collect as little data as possible, explain what we do collect, and default to keeping things on your device. Our privacy policies are written plainly.
Ship Less, Ship Better
We'd rather do one thing well than spread ourselves thin across ten. If something isn't ready, it doesn't ship.
Stay Practical
New technology is only useful if it actually helps. We experiment plenty, but what ends up in production has to earn its place.

Our founding team brings over 20 years of experience in Silicon Valley, spanning IT infrastructure, software engineering, and enterprise systems — with a particular focus on helping small and mid-size businesses put technology to practical use.

Deep expertise in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, database systems, and AI implementation. We've led IT departments, built SaaS platforms serving hundreds of tenants, and designed systems that run reliably at scale.

Over a decade of import/export experience across the US, China, and Japan — including trade compliance, customs operations, and cross-border logistics for computer systems and electronics.

Hands-on experience in both wholesale distribution and direct-to-consumer channels. We've worked with major marketplace platforms, managed e-commerce operations, and understand the needs of businesses at every stage.
